The Model 4300 Discs are available in a range of sizes from 17ft. to 25ft. with an average weight per foot of 525lbs. Both the 4290 and 4300 models feature many of the same components including the same rugged 2-section frame, rockshafts and wheels. The main difference between the two models is in the size of their respective gang beams.
Frame Gang Angle Slip-In Wheel Spindles Transport Fold
Heavy-Duty Frame – critical fore/aft frame beams on the 4300 is doubled over the main and wing rockshafts for additional strength. The beefy frame construction resists front to rear frame flex and eliminates the need for costly gauge wheels to prevent gouging or pushing.
Adjustable Gang Angle – the 4300 disc allows the operator to customize gang angles enabling a more or less aggressive discing action. Since most soil conditions (i.e. moisture, trash, etc.) vary from season to season an important feature such as adjustable gang angle will result in greater flexibility in the field.
Slip-in Wheel Spindles – are standard equipment on the 4300 discs making wheel or tire repair simple and easy. This feature also adds the flexibility to convert single wheels to duals should the need arise.
Hydraulic Transport Fold – all 4300 discs fold hydraulically to narrow transport width. Hydraulic lockout valves are supplied to each disc to prevent unintentional operation of either the lift of fold cylinders when the disc is being transported.
FRAME: All welded, 4” x 4” x .375 wall tubing – doubled over wheel rockshafts for additional strength.

GANG BEAMS: 4300 gang beams are 4” x 6” x .375 wall tubing.

HITCH: Automatic self-leveling and spring loaded. Adjustable with crank to level disc front to rear.

GANG ANGLE: Adjustable, 22 or 25 degrees front, 20 or 23 degrees rear.

GANG SHAFT: 1-15/16” diameter, high carbon steel.

SPOOLS: Steel fabricated, squared or beveled. 6” diameter.

BLADES: 24” or 26” diameter. Notched or plain are available.

BEARINGS: 4300 has the 410 Series as standard with the heavy-duty T2-215 Series available as an option.

FRONT GANGS: Staggered and overlapping – eliminates need for center shank.

RIGID HANGERS: 4300 hangers are 1-1/8” x 5” steel. Hangers are slim line and contoured for maximum trash clearance. All hangers U-Bolt mounted to gang beam for ease of adjustment or replacement.

STONE-FLEX HANGERS: Optional, C-style 1¼” x 2½” formed spring steel.

SCRAPERS: 4” wide formed carbon steel. U-Bolt mounted to scraper bar for maximum adjustment.

FURROW FILLER BLADES: Integral to rear gangs; four are supplied standard with each disc.

TIRES: 11L x 15 tires are standard on all 4300 discs.
