Hammer Face Pounder Mast Slide Mechanism Hydraulic Controls
The Model 2400 features a large 9” x 14” hammer face which is both wider - for easier lining up, and deeper for pounding on the opposite side of the wire. This eliminates the need to drive around existing fence line - as is required with competitive machines using I-beam design. Hammer comes with lid to allow ballasting.
A 12 inch wide welded track provides for smooth guided hammer operation. No internal pads or shims to adjust or maintain: reduces maintainence time. A 62” cylinder stroke, combined with a 1-5/8” diameter cylinder bore, ensures a fast acting downward force; no need for spring hammer assist.
The Model 2400 features a sturdy in / out slide that allows 0” – 16” of movement for ease of adjustment to fence line. A heavy duty cross axle tube reinforces both wheel legs and undercarriage. A large in frame weight box allows required ballasting of the Post Driver for stable operation.
Fingertip hydraulic controls are standard for maximum convenience, safety and ease of operation. This allows for smooth 4-way Tilt, In/ Out Slide and Hammer Up/ Down
Contained Hydraulics Engine Drive
This feature eliminates possible oil contamination between powerunit and post driver. All 2400 are equipped with oversized hydraulic pumps which allows full operation at reduced rpm. The hydraulic system also includes a large oil reservoir for rapid heat dissipation and a 10 micron filter for pump protection.
The Engine driven Model 2400 is equipped with a 9 H.P. gasoline engine and utilizes a direct mounted hydraulic pump which eliminates the need for belts or pulleys. The hydraulic pump on both the Engine and PTO models provides sufficient hydraulic power to operate the Post Driver with smooth, fast operation.
Post Guide Extendable Hitch Kit Post Rack
The Post Guide allows the operator to align posts easily and safely. The Post Guide is adjustable for different diameter posts. A spring loaded arm ensures a steady holding force is applied to the post while hammer is operated.
The Hydraulic Extendable Hitch Kit is available to conveniently fine tune post placement. A full 16 inches of hitch travel under the control of a separate hydraulic spool lessens the need to continually re-position the tractor or towing vehicle.
The post rack allows operator to conveniently carry posts to job site.
