9"x 14" Hammer Face
A large 9” x 14” hammer face is both wider - for easier lining up and deeper - for pounding on the opposite side of the wire. Eliminates the need to drive around existing fence line - as is required with competitive machines using I-beam design.
Pounder Mast
A 12 inch wide track provides for a smooth guided, sturdy mast. No internal pads or shims to adjust or maintain: reduces maintainence time. A 62” cylinder stroke, combined with a 1-5/8” diameter cylinder bore, ensures a fast acting downward force. No need for spring hammer assist.
Post Guide Hydraulic Controls Contained Hydraulics Pump Drive
Post Guide (Optional)
Allows the operator to align post easily and safely. The post guide is adjustable for different post diameters. A spring loaded arm ensures proper holding force on the post towards the pounder.
Fingertip Hydraulic Controls
Fingertip hydraulic controls are standard for maximum convenience, safety and ease of operation. This allows for smooth fore / aft movement as well as side to side tilt of the hammer.
Self Contained Hydraulics
This feature eliminates possible oil contamination between powerunit and post driver. The 1450 is equipped with a large 12 gpm pump which allows full operation at reduced rpm. The hydraulic system also includes a large oil reservoir for rapid heat dissipation and a 10 micron filter.
Skid-Steer Pump Drive
The 4.9 cu.in. hydraulic motor couples directly to the PTO pump (supplied standard with all 1450’s). The hydraulic drive motor requires only 6-8 gpm from the Skid-Steer to operate the pounder effectively. Hydraulic hoses with industry standard flat faced couplers are included to reduce assembly time.
 
Caution: Ballasting of Model 1450 hammer is not recommended as tractor may become unstable when hammer is extended to full height.
