Rugged Frame Walking Axles Shank Assemblies Full Width Rockshaft
#1 RUGGED FRAME: the 6000 Series Chisel/ Cultivator features an all- welded four row frame constructed of 4” x 4” x ¼” wall steel tubing. Each of the front two rows on the main frame are doubled for additional strength to resists torsional stressing.
#2 WALKING AXLES: all frame sections – main, inner wings and outer wings- are carried on tandem walking axles. In addition to ensuring more uniform cultivation or seeding depth across the width of the machine, walking beams provide for more stability when machine is being transported. Each of the walking beams pivot on tapered roller bearings for trouble- free life.
#3 SPRING CUSHION SHANK ASSEMBLIES: the 6000 Series is available with a choice of either 350, 550 or 600 lb. initial force shanks. Each shank pivots on a full-width 3-1/2” nylon graphite bushing that requires no greasing. Underframe clearance is 30 inches for optimum trash clearance.
#4 FULL WIDTH ROCKSHAFT: provides additional support to 6000 Series main frame to prevent flexing. All rockshafts are constructed of 5-1/2” (140mm) O.D. heavy wall tubing with the main frame rockshaft being double walled for additional strength.
Lift System Fore / Aft Levellers Slip-In Wheel Spindles Side-To-Side Levelling
#5 LIFT SYSTEM: the unique parallel/series hydraulic lift system features tandem 4” x 8” cylinders on the main frame with single series cylinders on each wing section. The dual master cylinders are synchronized by the full width rockshaft on the main frame. This arrangement virtually eliminates the problems of fading or rebounding associated with conventional series cylinder lift systems. For depth control choose either an adjustable single- point hydraulic valve or optional depth control segments for each cylinder.
#6 FORE/AFT LEVELLERS: adjustable push arms link each of the front castor wheels to the rockshafts allowing for easy fore/aft leveling of the cultivator. Once leveling is completed, the parallel lift system ensures uniform cultivation at any depth.
#7 SLIP-IN WHEEL SPINDLES: all walking beams on 6000 Series feature slip-in wheel spindles for ease of removal and/or repair of complete wheel assemblies. An optional carrier is also available which allows the operator to mount a complete spare wheel assembly (tire, rim, hub and spindle) for quick changeover in field or on the road should the need arise.
#8 SIDE-to-SIDE LEVELLING: adjustable eyebolts located on each of the wing hydraulic cylinders allows for precise independent leveling of each wing.
Caster Wheels Floating Hitch Hitch Stabilizers Flex-Wing Hinges
#9 CASTER WHEELS: L-shaped caster legs allow for ease of wheel and tire removal versus competitive fork style casters. Each caster pivot axle rides on a nylon graphite wear washer for long life and smooth turning.
#10 FLOATING HITCH: A full floating hitch is standard on all 6000 Series Chisel/Cultivators to ensure even working depth and precise field contour-following characteristics. Constructed of 6x2” heavy wall tubing, the hitch is 19' in length to prevent skewing in tough, uneven conditions.
#11 HITCH STABILIZERS: supplied standard(2) on all 6000 Series Chisel/ Cultivators the stabilizers automatically engage when the cultivator is raised into transport mode. Constructed of tempered spring steel, the stabilizers prevent fore/aft movement when in transport.
#12 FLEX-WING HINGES: this exclusive Ezee-On feature allows each wing frame to oscillate independent of its mate. Rollers, located on the front and rear rows of the frames, permit each wing section to follow uneven field contours and maintain even working depths.
Tine Harrows
#13 TINE HARROWS: all 6000 Series Chisel/Cultivators are available with optional 3 or 4 bar mounted harrows for a uniform field finish. Single or double arms mount harrow to cultivator frame. Tines are 3/8” x 18” long, spring steel with 6 position angle adjustment.
Mounted Packers
#14 MOUNTED PACKERS: are an available option for all sizes and spacings of 6000 Series Chisel/Cultivators. Packer wheels are 20” diameter molded polyethylene construction. Each gang is designed to oscillate on a central pivot ensuring easy obstruction rollover. Packer gangs can be easily removed and replaced with Tine Harrows should the need arise.
